The Global Esports Games go to Los Angeles, California. As a member of the Global Esports Federation, the Ireland Esports Federation is part of the qualification pathway to the LAN finals.
Ireland’s open qualifiers ran across five titles in July, with the regional qualifiers following in August. Both stages are now complete.
Congratulations to everyone who took part — and to Sean McClements, who qualified to represent Ireland in iRacing at the LAN finals in Los Angeles.

The five titles Ireland ran open qualifiers in during July 2026. All qualifiers are now closed.
ELIGIBILITY
Entry to the Irish qualifiers was open to entrants who met all of the following criteria. The same criteria will apply to future qualification cycles.
- Age Requirement
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. - Irish Connection
Entrants must satisfy at least one of the following conditions:- Be in possession of an Irish passport; or
- Be born on the island of Ireland (including both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland); or
- Have at least one parent born on the island of Ireland; or
- Have at least one grandparent born on the island of Ireland.
- National Representation
The organisers reserve the right to request supporting documentation (e.g. birth certificate, passport, or other proof of descent) to verify eligibility at any stage of the competition, including prior to any prize being awarded. - Multiple Nationalities
Players holding multiple nationalities may represent only one nation or territory for the purposes of the competition, and signing up to a qualifier for a nation is deemed a declaration of chosen representation. - Right to Disqualify
Entries that do not meet the above criteria, or where eligibility cannot be verified, may be disqualified at the organisers’ discretion.
